Contest Extension

I've decided to extend the cutoff date for the contest that I'm running right now. Due to some recent events that happened at my house over the weekend, I haven't been able to Facebook and blog as much as I would have liked.
We were out of town at our daughters softball game when we got a call from the Police Dept. Apparently a couple of thuggish looking guys attempted to break into our house. Let me just say that if you're going to break in to someone's house, it should probably be at night. Not in the middle of the DAY on a WEEKEND when most people are HOME! My neighbors saw the whole thing from them drawing attention to themselves by arguing with some guys down the street to then jumping our fence and trying to get in. They called the police and the Sheriff arrived before they could get in, but not before they broke my sons bedroom window. One guy jumped over the fence into the neighbors yard behind us and got a very unpleasant surprise. He jumped into a yard with 3 pits bulls and yes, the dogs got ahold of him and tore up his arm. The other jumped the fence in the other direction and my neighbors got a good look at him. Not to mention he was carrying an unloaded 22 pistol that he decided to dump in their garbage...but not before leaving a print behind. On top of that they dumped their baseball hats so PD will be swabbing for DNA. If they're in the system, they're good as caught.
Needless to say, my husband and I called and ADT install an alarm in the house today and we got all the bells and whistles. The best part of all is that the Police Department where we live has an incredily fast response time. They made it here in 3 minutes on Sunday.
Enough about the house drama though. Bottom line is we're extending the contest for another 2 weeks so go to my fan page on Facebook and become a fan today. Just getting started...

I’ve heard a lot about people blogging but have never actually tried it myself, so here I am, starting a blog for a small business that I am trying to get started. I guess I should begin by telling you all a little about myself.

I am a 29 year old with a wonderful husband and two very awesome kids, one girl age 11 and one boy age 2 and a half. I grew up in Oregon and lived there most of my life until I graduated high school and decided to move to sunny California. I currently work in the world of architecture and I love every aspect of it. Before that I worked at a small California winery where I learned to have a LOVE for wine.

My husband was a foreman at his previous job for 11 years until the economy hit a downslide and they closed their doors. He has been a stay at home dad for the last 6 months, taking care of our son and being a coach to my daughters’ softball team, both rec ball and traveling.

Of course times being what they are and him not working, a little extra cash could always do some good, plus I’d like to be able to get out of the rat race and stay at home with my kids while still being able to bring money in. My husband is starting up a web business and I have started making jewelry, earrings to start, but hopefully will be able to graduate to adding bracelets and necklaces as well.
